Vyner Street Festival - bands and djs
When: Saturday Aug 26, 2006 and Sunday 27th August12:0o noon till 10pm both days
Where: Vyner Street, off Cambridge Heath Road, London, E2 9DQ
What: 2 day free festival taking place on Vyner Street E2 (nearest tube Bethnal Green). 12 live bands over 2 days, stalls, DJs, food, beer, games and introducing The Punk Olympics.
The Punk Olympics celebrates 30 years since punks and says stuff the Olympics with a series of events, including:
- strickly po-go
- gobbin darts
- speed bingo
- dress up tony
- spare 10p mate?
- 3 legged steamin
- blind jiving
- tossin' the cider
There'll also be open gallleries, a family area, fanzines, raffles, tombola.

DJs will be playing before and between band sets and will include: Lee (funky house), Duncan (Stereolab), Ross (no wave), David (Dirty Canvas), Adam (Eel), Tony (Eel studio one), Rocky (George & Drag), Julian (Dog and Trumpet), Stelfox (hyphy), Dave (South Hackney Radio), Tree (Hat on tthe Wall).
